Heather's Glen in Conroe, TX

Fun Fun Fun, I love going to Heathers Glen in Conroe, TX. As far as Wedding venues in the area go, Heather’s Glen is certainly one of my favorites from a photographer’s point of view. The lighting is always great from the dressing room to the chapel to the reception area. And the staff is excellent, they seem to be able to move everyone thru the wedding seamlessly without anyone feeling pressured or rushed. Here is a photo of Tiffani at a recent Wedding we shot at Heather’s Glen.

An exciting event for all to see. The 20-minute fireworks show, shot over The Woodlands Town Center, is the second largest in the Greater Houston region, second only to downtown Houston. The soundtrack for The Red, Hot & Blue Festival Fireworks is simulcast on Houston’s #1 radio station, Sunny 99.1 and will begin at 9:30pm.Visible from The Woodlands Mall and Waterway it's always a trill for both young and old.. Fireworks will shoot off of the intersection of Timberloch and Woodloch Forest Drive, the parking garage of Waterway Building I & II (located at 10001 Woodloch Forest Drive ), and the Anadarko Parking Garage. Streets and waterway will be shut down at 8:45 p.m. for safety reasons, and will re-open after the show. Free Event.

Photo Tips:

1. Scout locations before hand and get there early to ensure you get a good spot.

2. A tripod, a remote shutter release and a camera with manual settings are almost a must. (suggested settings are 400asa at f8 with 3 to 8 second shutter openings, above photo 200 asa at F16 5sec exp) this should do well with a film camera, with digital cameras you have the bonus of instant previews so you can adjust your settings as needed.

3. Watch the rhythm of the show and then you can begin to anticipate the action. Open your shutter about a half second before the next volley close it and reset in the middle. do this over an over again. Remember film is cheap, opportunities are not and with digital it’s basically free…

4. Remember, this is a fun event to just sit back and watch as well. Don’t forget to enjoy the show with your family.

Pictures With Santa at Kroger

Thanks to everyone for your wonderful support this year. Because of our efforts, lots of happy children were able to visit with Santa and Kroger #376 store Manager Mike Medved was able to donate hundreds of dollars to The Kroger Co. Foundation. Each year, The Kroger Co. Foundation provides charitable assistance in the hundreds of communities across the country that their customers and associates call home. Memorial Day

Memorial Day is here. Lots of festivities will be available to us this weekend I hope all of you enjoy them.
